Eh, “it works” in the sense that you’ll get an audience of semi-engaged people who love you for your personality, but if you want to grow a brand that actually sells consistently I think polish helps, mixing it in the sweet spot imo. Personal and polished at the same time. You’re missing out on a lot of people who still love polished and well edited content, it’s also just more engaging and that improves visibility.
