the whole divide within the hotd Fandom on this is kinda petty and stupid guys. People arent "refusing" to see the validity of whay Cole was SUPPOSED to represent. the writing of the tv show quite literally fails to support it. thats no secret, they've literally cut scenes that would allow the audience to see him as anything other than an uncaring and dishonorable man. not the fault of the audience, fault of the showrunners. People who are aware of the books obviously have different takes on Criston Cole, which again just goes to show that the tv show depiction failed to provide a nuanced version of his character for the average show watcher to see. u cant get surprised that people think hes a weak willed Intel, when the writing has worked hard to make sure he is only seen as such.
