98.2% success rate, but if charges are dropped, that success rate doesn't change, because it's not a case that goes to trial.

The stacking charges portion is incorrect. A typical case goes like this. Drug dealer makes 20 different sales of drugs. He gets charged maybe for all 20+ a conspiracy charge. And then when you plead guilty it’s to one count of distribution and then they add up all of the weights of the drugs from the 20 charges and use that to base the sentencing guideline.

When I was 12, my self and a friend stole a starter kit for Magic the gathering and a couple booster packs each, total: $60 in 1999. We got caught by the store LP team. There was sheet placed on the ground with both our names and what we had in our pockets was a placed on each sheet respectively. They took photos of what we stole and waited for police, after police arrived they spoke with LP team and the LP officers came into the back room grabbed a bunch of product and toys off thier desk and placed them on our sheets, because we hadn’t stolen enough to be charged with theft over $500, they added product and I spent the summer working off a debt I never incurred. This is how at 12 Y/O I learned that corruption is everywhere.
