Can someone help me, it says it’s adjusted for inflation on the graph, but then he just adjusted it again for inflation, it seems like it’s being adjusted twice for inflation which doesn’t make sense

This is just straight up not true, 1/3 of America is not making 75k a year. Median income is 45k, meaning half the country makes 45k or less

You are adjusting for inflation twice. If you look at the footnote of the calculator it says it is just adjusting for inflation which was already done for the graph. The bigger issue is the ever increasing gap between GDP per capital and real wages. Workers are generating more than ever before but the percentage that's received at wages is a much smaller percent of what's being generated. That is why it feels worse. Before everyone on average had less.

This uses mean income vs median income. Average income for a person vs average persons income.

That's because government reported inflation is and has been complete bs. It's far higher than reported and always has. I've been saying it for decades only for people to call bs.

Nothing is truly inflation adjusted because the government lies about inflation.

That’s 100% due to the increase in dual income households. Now do the percentage of working Americans who can afford a median priced home with 30% of their income from 1967 to now, lol.
