Yam" doesn’t have a past tense* 😄
That’s because *yam is a noun* — it’s a food/tuber.
Only *verbs* have past tense. Like: eat → ate, cook → cooked.
Examples:
- *Present*: I am eating *yam*
- *Past*: I *ate* yam yesterday
- *Future*: I will *eat* yam tomorrow
So the word "yam" stays "yam" whether it’s today, yesterday, or next year.
Were you maybe thinking of a verb like " then the past tense would be "yammed" 😂
