Ngl one of the reasons I don’t want kids is because what if I literally just don’t like my kid. What if they’re a terrible person and don’t grow out of it. I just don’t wanna risk that.

Mom is very likely also autistic and needs to get help for her own nervous system. She has hyper empathy, wants to elope, ruminates, and has been diagnosed with “anxiety.”

interesting. I have noticed the majority of the - regretful parent stories - are when the kids are neurodivergent. And parents are simply overwhelmed and alone in their struggle 😞

I’ve worked with kids for over 13 years in various settings (daycares, Montessori school, behavioral health, etc.) This is absolutely NOT age appropriate for a three year old and I cannot believe that a pediatrician would tell them that. That’s so dismissive.

This is actually exactly how I pictured motherhood to be and never had kids. There’s a lot of mental illness in my family so I know I made the right choice. My mom hated me because I have a Bipolar diagnosis and actually told me that she wished she could divorce me as a mom.
