I read this and thought awww, well, 40 years is still a ways out from me, so…. Then I realized I’m 38. All alone. And empty: Poured out all of me into a 20 year marriage that’s ending, I have teenagers who no longer need me like they did when they were babies and I’m hopelessly lost in a great big unknown world. And that’s when the tears came. Unbidden, uninvited, yet unhidden this time though because I want you to find Brittney again. And I want her to have a chance at living a happy life where possibilities and hope exist.

I see people saying “oldest daughter”. It’s nothing about where u are in line. It’s about who u are as a person. People give everything to everyone it’s just who they are. They can send years trying to find who they are, but they’ve always known. Some people are selfless healers , it’s just who they are x
