We made an impromptu trip to the cemetery on the way home. I’m talking a 10 min drive here. What turned into a quick visit turned into my MIL trimming hedges 🙄 my daughter pooped and that was her last diaper from her bag. I had to flick her poop in the woods and leave the tiny skid mark and rush home to change her.

What, I once was at the farm as we have horses and my granddaughter had just filled her nappy, I realised I had none left in the baby bag. So I improvised, I ripped up a shirt I found in the car, luckily I used terry towelling nappies in the 80's before disposable were a thing, shaped it to a triangle, used kitchen roll inside as a liner, then used a plastic bag over it with holes made for baby's legs and sealed it with a roll of vet wrap! Let me tell you that nappy lasted for 2 hours until my daughter had finished teaching her lessons, mucked out our horses, and the drive home! I was so proud of myself. Never once did I consider using an old nappy!! 😂😂

We ran out of diapers all I had was a full size towel that I tied as best I could to fashion a diaper. I just prayed it worked thankfully my husband got off work early thankfully I said don’t come home without diapers. Now I always have an emergency stash just in case. 😅
