okay so the reason why so many of us who already have sensitive hearing can’t stand noise cancelling is because it isn’t “turning the noise off” or “blocking” it, it’s playing exactly what you would be hearing but inversely, so the two sets of sound waves cancel each other out — to some people, instead of hearing nothing, you hear everything, but your brain doesn’t know how to categorize it

Noise canceling headphones are basically recording outside noises and playing it back into your ears with opposite polarity so you're basically just getting double the outside noise, the soundwaves cancel eachother out, but the audio pressure stays as if you can hear it

noise blocking option is not actually blocking any sound, it actually records the sounds around you, and then mirror flip them and put them on each other(the original noise+flipped noise) and it "kinda" blocks the sound for our brain, but it's still can bring migraine, due to actually felling the noise.Noise-is just a waves, like a microwaves, radio waves, ultraviolet waves, etc. you get the point, all of them are the same waves, that have a different frequency, wavelength, and application. So you can imagine noise canceling tech like a blur effect on photos to hide identity:)

Everybody should be using noise cancelling headphones in loud environments. It makes you reduce the volume of music so helps mitigate hearing loss! It's something you get easily used to after a few days.
