@abbicalx: Any ideas what to do with these gaps And before you ask… the wood was in the hallway for a few weeks before it was laid And YES it is glued down ☹️ #hardwood #joinery #renovation #hallway #renodiaries

I would use wood saw powder from the spare pieces you have , mix with clear wood glue and make a wood filler about the same color you need ,

without ripping it up I would use wood filler, BUT, ask the person who did it to fix it first, if not, use filler

Dropped a dm for a few ways to get it sorted but I’d always advise going back to the person who done it to correct anything your not happy with don’t try it yourself otherwise it becomes your problem 👌🏽😂

Although it should've been done properly in the first place.... This stuff is great, you can mix the different waxes if needed and it's easy to apply. Dunelm, Toolstation & Amazon are your best bets

Not a great job the last one you pointed out the border is way off! Why the double border at the door then single on the sides? X

Was it done by a carpenter? Could ask them to come back if so

Have they appeared since fitting or were they there on completion? Look like movement joints, it can happen. Did the fitter offer any aftercare service? They may be willing to come back. Do you have any spare bits that could be used to replace the bits that have shrunk/moved? Old houses do have a tendency to move and timber especially oak is a live product so can expand or contract. Filler is a last resort and you would need to find a perfect colour match or it will still stand out. X
