Sadly (and this is coming from a local) parking at Harborwalk Village is $20. It’s underground in some sense. And security is watching so you can’t just say “oh I’m dropping off /picking up someone.”

I wanna just point out that EVERYONE I encountered was genuinely nice to me & my family like I’ve never in my life been to a place where everyone is sooooo nice. Like I want to move there but the storms Destin gets are too bad 😩

Not sure how old you are by Destin 25 years ago was absolutely incredible. There was no Walmart, or those crappy trinket stores. Oh, and a condo was like $85 a night. Now, I’d rather just go to a remote beach in Mexico. It’s a quarter of the price even with a flight. I’m blown away a condo is $700 a night now. 😳

As a local… I would not recommend going to crab island. Couldn’t tell you how many actual TURDS I’ve seen floating in that water it’s disgusting
