MAGA and Progressives are the same breed. Populism with magic solutions. Rent expensive? Just make it cheaper! Groceries expensive? Just make em cheaper? Healthcare expensive? Just make it cheaper! When in reality, solving each of those problems requires navigating a labyrinth of difficulties and requires restructuring systems that have been in place for decades.

In my opinion, politics should be kept out of K–12 schools and higher education as much as possible. I also believe that teachers’ unions and other organizations can have political influences, and those influences can shape educational priorities. Students often vote based on the ideas and perspectives they’ve been exposed to throughout their education and upbringing, which is why I think political neutrality in the classroom is so important. Schools should encourage critical thinking, open discussion, and the ability to evaluate evidence from multiple viewpoints rather than promoting any particular political ideology.
