I started implementing the “I sat down to eat, you need to wait” and it’s gotten a lot better. When she does ask for something it’s usually started with or followed by “when you’re done”

Yes to all of these! A big one in our house is sometimes mom and dad have treats we don’t share just because you asked. We deserve a treat sometimes and don’t have to give up part of that just because a child asked. Same goes for them with their special treats.

As a mom who raised four may I add one? independence. If they can do it for themselves let them. Encourage them to be independent. It creates confidence and gives you the opportunity to teach them more life skills they'll need for the future. Basic chores and responsibilities are underrated. You cannot and should not "do it all".

Yess girl yessss !!! I need to sane and healthy too , being a mom is tiring. I do not allow my daughter to sit in my lap until I am done eating, she knows it too. My daughter knows when I'm ready and vise versa.

I’m sorry—my kids were little for only awhile. You can’t get those moments back. My kids welcomed on lap anytime. I have healthy adult children and wonderful grandkids. 🌸🦋💞
