Not true? People dont realise earth has a magnetosphere and an atmosphere that stops gamma rays from harming us. In the 1800s, a coronal mass ejection hit the earth. We're still here.

Don’t gamma rays hit the earth all the time? Even from very far away? Though it becomes diluted and weak like most things traveling in the universe.
