Thank goodness, someone else who picked up on the inconsistencies... it's the main reason I couldn't finish. There's a scene where she forgot how old her characters were and I had to go back because I thought I was crazy... or how it was winter and then all of a sudden it wasn't.

I enjoyed it but I like most WW2 stories like this. However I felt like the ending is what everyone loves and “saves” the book
