@sonja.ugc: Part 2: Serbian Orthodox Churches and some characteristics like, doors facing west while the altar is at the east end, the cross shaped plan, the dome that symbolizes heaven, the breathtaking screen painted with icons, the Holy communion offered on Sundays after long periods fasting periods (4-6 weeks of a non dairy diet, without meat or eggs). I am blown away by the beauty, architecture and decoration of Serbian churches and the smell of inense gives them a special spiritual feeling.
