the only GINGER SHOT recipe you need! It’s that time of year here in Sydney where everyone’s a bit under the weather 😩 so what better way to boost your immunity than with some ginger shots! The whole process of making ginger shots is a bit messy, so rather than decanting into fiddly little bottles we usually just make a BIG batch and freeze into ice cubes for longevity 😊 2 ice cubes = 1 ginger shot - just add a bit of boiling water to reconstitute them, or you can suck on the cubes themselves when you’ve got a sore throat, almost like a lozenge! A word of warning - these ginger shots are EXTREMELY potent so drink with caution 😝 Ingredients: 250g ginger roughly chopped 3 Lemons, skin removed and roughly chopped 3 Oranges, skin removed and roughly chopped 1 tbsp raw honey 1/2 tsp Tumeric powder Cracked black pepper 3/4 cup water Method: 1. Place all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth 2. Strain the mixture through cheese cloth/cotton (you can also use a strainer but it’ll be harder to extract all of the liquid!) 3. Pour the liquid into ice cube trays and freeze until solid 4. Once frozen, pop the cubes out of the trays and store in freezer/ziplock bags inside the freezer 5.
