No one tells you this… But before you succeed, God will often lead you through these 3 crises. First, God will remove the wrong things you depend on. Moses once grew up in the palace of Egypt. He had status. He had position. And people respected him. But when God truly called him, it was not in the palace. It was in the wilderness. It is God Himself. Second, God will test whether you are willing to obey. Abraham did not understand why God asked him to offer up Isaac, the son he loved most. But he still chose to obey. Brothers and sisters, many people say they believe in God only when things are easy. But real faith is when you do not understand, and you still choose to listen to God’s word. If you are only willing to obey when life feels comfortable, you are not yet ready to carry a greater calling from God. Third, God will prepare you in a place where no one sees you. David was overlooked by his own father. He was not even invited to stand before the prophet. He was still outside, watching the sheep. But people did not see him. God saw him. So do not look down on your season of loneliness. Some wilderness seasons are not punishment. They are preparation. Some hidden seasons are not failure. They are God quietly shaping you. You may think you have been set aside. But maybe God is protecting you, training you, and preparing you to step into a new season. So if you have recently been facing lack, rejection, or loneliness, do not only ask, “God, why me?” Also ask, “God, what are You preparing me for?” Because you are not being abandoned by God.
