@raitryna: This is something I experienced firsthand, and it took me years to understand. For a long time, I was afraid to spend money, take risks, or truly bet on myself and I think that fear came from not having a lot of money growing up. So for 3–4 years, I did the opposite. I lived far beneath my means. I saved aggressively, invested consistently, stayed out of debt, and built a financial foundation. But once that foundation was in place, something changed. I trusted myself more because I had already proven I could earn, save, and rebuild if I ever had to. That confidence gave me the freedom to apply what I call “calculated pressure”…moving out, upgrading my environment, and putting myself in rooms with people were way smarter and wealthier than me.
