@wonderfoley6: Yeah, it's actually a privilege to get to be the main person responsible for raising your own kids. I love it so much that I'm bummed it's winding down because my kids are getting older. Understand that children are an actual wealth far beyond money and getting to know them and foster them into adulthood is an incredible, humbling and deeply human experience. This is not to shame working parents, but the "wealthy parent" approach to CEO parenting described in this article is absolutely a recipe for alienation and loss of purpose. Cinema in the post: Batman Returns, Pet Semetary, The Shining, The Devil Wears Prada, Mary Poppins, Adventures In Babysitting, Jingle All The Way, 30 Rock, Beetlejuice, Much Ado About Nothing, My Life (great movie watch this one), Spiderman Homecoming, The Founder, Mr Mom. I may have gotten a little too into "casting" this one. Anyway. Let me know if you've had any experiencing which you realized the "wealth distortion field." #comedy #essay #reaction

Don’t mess up the kids. I think that’s the main goal when having children. (I was a step dad for 10 years.)

As a "parent for hire" a.k.a Au Pair for the first several years of my adult life, I can confirm that no team can make up for the need of approval from a child's parents ✨ we can curate and experience in which a child seems to thrive, but they will always have the hole their parents leave and it forms their future more than a team ever can

I love whatever this is. I’ve been bartending for the wealthy at a private club for a couple years. I can confirm, they live in an alternate reality. It’s been very eye opening

The same people that reason they shouldn't get a dog because they dont have the time to walk it, will have a child without a plan to raise them 😅

The other thing is that employees will not discipline your child. So, they grow up learning that they are a set of tasks, unimportant and tedious enough to be delegated, and that there are no boundaries when your caregivers’ livlihood depends on being liked.
