@inventionontt: Original Video Credit: IG/brawn_mixer Two industrial mixing tanks are running side by side, but only one produces a properly blended mixture. The tank on the left forms a large surface vortex while particles settle and clump together, whereas the baffled tank on the right keeps the blue particles evenly suspended throughout the liquid. The demonstration, produced by Brawn Mixer, shows how vertical baffles mounted along the tank walls interrupt the circular flow that creates a vortex. Instead, the impeller generates strong axial circulation that continuously moves liquid and solids from top to bottom, producing a far more uniform mixture. Proper tank baffling is a fundamental principle of industrial mixing used in industries ranging from food and pharmaceuticals to chemicals and wastewater treatment. Eliminating the vortex improves mixing efficiency, prevents air from being drawn into the liquid, and ensures ingredients remain evenly distributed during processing. But energy is still spent resisting the baffles, right? I do believe it creates uniform circulation, but "wasting energy spinning liquid" sounds like marketing talk instead of science

Looks like it assumes equal mass of the substances to be mixed

I feel like this is not the right way to test/show this. it seems like the one on the right is just batting the beads instead of "mixing"

You can change the orientation of the baffle with relation to flow direction to control shear rates too - just in case your contents are sensitive eg fungal bioreactor. Has positives for oxygen transfer kinetics too.

Its closer to uniformity but not there. Also based on this evidence how can you confirm it saves energy. Baffles increase the waters resistance to flow. Therefore more energy required. Also the pump on the right looks much bigger again indication more power is required.
