@marbieskitchen: When you’re sharing your thoughts and ideas with people, you have to make sure you aren’t secretly asking for permission. It’s something we often end up doing subconsciously, but it’s no way to live a full, rich life. This is something I wish I knew in my early 20s because I spent so much time trying to make sure my life made sense to other people. Especially as a multi hyphenate, I was so frustrated by the fact that my life didn’t fit neatly into the order that I felt other people had in their pursuits. Knowing what I know now, I would have done so much differently and I’ve come to understand that peoples opinions and perspective on what you are doing has more to do with them and their life experiences than you objectively.
