as long as it was a service dog, idc if theres a dog anywhere. the issue is the parents. little kids are always gonna wonder off and hence you need to have 50,000 eyes on them at all times! if they start to wonder, you correl them back.

The child was allowed to wander around by itself. If the dog was roaming I’d blame the dog owner. As the child was roaming without any parent supervision I blame the parent.

As a mother of five who also has dogs and a slew of other animals, the children need to be taught at a very young age to respect animals. Especially an animal that isn’t familiar with them. I teach my children to always ask the owner before they pet a dog. And also my children wouldn’t be allowed to just wander off unsupervised 😳

Dog was minding its business under the table, shaking its life away in its own bubble, not bothering a soul. The kid was the intruder. The parents are at fault for not watching the kid.

parents at fault. dog was under the table, in own space. if you cant keep your child in your zone things will happen. someone might trip over the child spiling food everywhere because they are carrying trays of food etc

As a parent of two very rambunctious kids, I HATE it when parents don't look after their kids, especially in restaurants. There are servers walking around with hot plates, cutlery, drinks etc. It's not a place for children to run around. They definitely should've looked after their offspring. BUT also as a dog owner, I would have shielded my dog from grabby hands better. My dog: my responsibility to protect and manage. My kids: my reponsilibility to protect and raise.

Parents wrong. Dog and owner Minding their own business not disturbing anyone. In general dogs are far better behaved than children. Plus it’s a restaurant not a playground.
