it takes a village to raise a kid. teachers and parents was suppose to work together to help the kids. homework is reinforcement of what they learned. but it also teaches them about accountability and responsibility. I teach high school kids and they cant simply give me a notebook or binder and that was their homework. thats it! also, how are your kids going to do well in college when papers and reading assignment are due?

I dont believe in hours of homework but I always wanted to know what my kids were doing and if they understood the work. Sometimes they need extra help from home

That’s just nonsense, and through out bad parenting.I am 80 years old and had lots of homework in my school days, parents helped sometimes with that.If no homework, what they do after coming home from school, play with I phone?Idle mind is devils workshop

I know you mean well, but you’re only hurting your kids. They need homework to pass their classes, and to teach them good work ethic. They need good grades to get places in life. I hope you understand and change your mind
