Sometimes it takes a long time, but the scars do fade. Mine took 7 years (not top surgery, but I had other surgery and sh scars). They’re actually lighter than the skin around it now.

i think scars are absolutely gorgeous, i don't personally know much about keloid scars tho, whats the difference between them and are they dangerous at all or do they just kinda happen like that?

my derm injected mine with a steroid shot and it flattened them out quite a bit but they are still red and textured, may help!

My cousin gets scars like these and he had surgery as a baby on his stomach which was some very big incisions, some years later the color got lighter. You can still obviously see them and they are a bit darker than his skin tone but they got drastically lighter so yours will probably lighten even more throughout the years☺️

My partner had them, getting steroid injections was super helpful to keep them from splitting and reducing some redness and how raised they were.

will the silicone tape eventually make the scars completely neutral or will the color will always be there? wondering bc keloids also run in my family and im after top surgery 🫶🏻

Silicone scar tape really helped my SH scars heal! They’re barely noticeable anymore, you really have to look!
