I think you might be shocked to learn how little normal people care about any of this stuff… I bet many would pick the ai logos. I’ve been a designer for almost 30 years and I feel like it’s all about to come crashing down, everyone is trying to say things to make themselves feel better about things, but the giant apocalyptic tsunami of ai is coming and it’s not slowing down. Let’s see what ai logos look like in a year, let’s see what they look like in 3 years, and then we’ll see how many companies are willing to spend thousands on a brand identity when they can get one for Pennies on the dollar in an instant (and feel like they made it)

I love the side by side comparison! To just look at the ai ones I’d think “yeah they’re fine” but to see them juxtaposed with yours really shows that personal touch in both your text and symbology!!

am gonna be honest, I don't really see much similarity,the only thing is the hue, but lettering is different, the iso is different. Visual preference, I actually prefer the 1-3-4 on the left column. the last one I see them equally lovely to see. In that regard your point misses, specially because this could be an echo chamber, were other graphic designers say "yes ai sucks, your work is better" just because of their side of the discussion. I'm anti-ai, btw, specifically gen-ai. But if I were to see those designs in the wild, without knowing they're ai, I would prefer 3 of the ai-pieces. Now, like others mentioned, how does it look blown up? what are the basis, the info of the companies? does it really match up to what they're selling or providing? I think if you took one of the ai pieces, explained the company, then people outside the graphic spaces, would be able to know WHY ai sucks at that. Specially because ai is getting better and better at copying good work, so to actually make the point people need to know why. Not just "this looks better".

Bigger argument would be what happens when you blow them up and put on shirts and other items. Not as crisp and hard to tell until you print stuff out.
