@chiefk745: If your car can't go above 2,000 RPM, here are some of the first things you should check. First, check the air filter. If it's too dirty, the engine won't get enough air, and that can limit power. Next, inspect the fuel filter. A blocked fuel filter restricts fuel flow, so the engine struggles when you try to accelerate. Another common cause is a faulty MAF or MAP sensor. These sensors tell the ECU how much air is entering the engine. If they give incorrect readings, the engine may go into a reduced-power mode. Also check the throttle body. If it's dirty or not opening properly, the engine won't respond well when you press the accelerator. On turbocharged vehicles, inspect for boost leaks or turbo problems. If the engine isn't building boost, it can feel like it's stuck at low RPM. If the check engine light is on, the car may be in limp mode. Scanning for fault codes will point you in the right direction instead of guessing. Finally, don't forget to check for a blocked catalytic converter or low fuel pressure from a weak fuel pump. Both can stop the engine from revving freely. Start with these checks before replacing parts—you might save yourself a lot of time and money. #maintenance #carsoftiktok #subaru #enginerebuild #engineoverhaul
