X-43 isn’t manned, X-15 is more of a manned bomb because it was dropped off of the side of a plane and didn’t take off from its own weight, a plane is different because it takes off from its own weight and thrust which the SR-71 did, making it the fastest “Plane” of all time, not the fastest aircraft
