@ancienthistorygirl: Was Homer a real person or a myth made up to put a name to two of the greatest masterpieces of Western literature #homer #ancientgreece #theodyssey #odyssey #ancienthistory

buck_turgidson :

Is it fair to say that, regardless of who Homer was or what he wrote the whole story was edited by various scholars at the library of Alexandria based on all the different versions that were available at the time?

Strange name for Ancient Times. Was that a real name? Start with that you’ll be amazed at what that alone reveals. “Odysseus” I think was the title not “The Odyssey” meaning “The Tale of Odysseus” I think the current Title is modern. Storytelling still an art form in human affairs “the story of Odysseus” revolution in how we actually think 💭 then would add music costume dress get people to relax “have normal sex” basically (create the first Families…lineage all of that.) speaking in the 3rd Person be my point. “The Story of Odysseus” supposed to be taken in by the “telling” later becomes reading actually. Unique human ability either way. “Speak as if no one there…be heard and understood” yes, yes?
