One of my players had a little mouse named shoelace. She only found out it was her polymorphed father when the BBEG delt enough damage to drop the mouse form and do overdamage enough to kill him instantly. Shoelace had been with her for years 😂😂😂

My old character was easily the most terrifying combatant in the party being a hexblade pact of the blade, he’s recently gotten taken by his patron (his patron isn’t the blade and is instead the god of corruption) and is going to be corrupted into a champion of his patron, his patron is doing this by telling him the party stole his pet mouse who raised him and is his only “family”, he’s already almost killed a party member for hurting Mouse

Was once a DM with an insane Paladin. He followed the code, was generous, whole nine yards. Eventually, he had gotten himself a little werewolf puppy he named Grey Fang. Many sessions later, during the final battle of the campaign, Grey Fang dies to the main villain and thats when our paladin player snapped. Suddenly, his face went emotionless and he faced the antagonist alone. Somehow, he won the 1v1 and looked at me and said "I wish to skin him alive and wear his flesh as a cape". That freaked me out. What made it worse was when he then rolled a Nat20. Simply put: New cape, traumatized group. Never go after the pets

My sweet little mouse companion that my “elf” character has had for most of her life is the soul of her mother (my father (both in game and life) has a raven that is her “body”). To end a blood curse, we have to rejoin her… then kill her 🙃.
