@drsophiayen: #birthcontrol as #HRT for early #perimenopause hear me out and learn about early versus late perimenopause @@Pandia Health Hormonal Care@@Mayapause50
Slynd literally saved my life. Peri + PMDD almost make me suicidal every 3 weeks for over a year. Take away the period, no more PMDD. Also take your estradiol!

I just started BC for perimenopause and I feel like a new person. It was like an immediate relief within 24 hours. Wild.

As someone who is overly sensitive to hormones, BC makes me actually crazy and makes all of my symptoms worse. It’s been a problem since my 20’s after I had my children. I’ve tried lots of different kinds. HRT worked perfectly to help my symptoms. I’m a whole new person after only a few weeks. It’s been life altering in the best way. BC isn’t for everyone.

This from the ROOFTOPS! It’s considered dismissive for your OB to say “go on the pill” but mine explained to me that the pill is important for ensuring uterine lining stays consistent to prevent uterine cancer (in addition to managing mood and hormones)

what if birth control made you absolutely feel bonkers and ill so you had to stop taking it when you were younger, and now that you're in your 40's it's the only thing they are offering you even though it's documented that you did very poorly on it? then what?

What if you have a Mirena IUD and don’t get a period. What do you recommend?

I’m 48 yo and I’ve been doing menstrual suppression from birth control for about 11 years. I have no idea what my periods would be like if I went off. Also using BC as a form of HRT

I’m confused about being over 40 and taking an estrogen based BC. Is it safe or not? I was always told women over 40 have a higher stroke rate and estrogen free BC is better like minipill

I’m 46 (almost 47) and have been on BCP for 10 years and have zero peri/menopause symptoms. My sister is 3 years younger and she’s miserable. I’ll stay on it until my doctor says I need to stop.

I've had perimenopause symptoms since I was 38. night sweats, vertigo, insomnia, depression, rage, brain fog, loss of words, you name it I've probably experienced it. I'm turning 51 next month and my period is still kike clock work. 3 months ago my doctor agreed to put me on the lowest does of estradiol patch and 100 milligrams progesterone and I'm finally starting to feel like myself again. so grateful she didn't make me wait until my periods started to skip. 12 years of suffering was too long as it is.

46 and I have all the peri menopausal symptoms except that my periods are still very regular. My PCP says I’m not in perimenopause because my periods are regular. I feel crazy for asking for HRT! Or even BC!

Thank you!
I wonder if it's snarky for me to send this video to my new patients coming in for HRT consults at age 40-45 who are inevitably going to be mad that I offer a CHC to help their symptoms rather than an inadequate dose of patch/oral progesterone. not bc I don't care but bc I want to give them effective treatment AND help control whack-a-doodle bleeding patterns.

Been on BC for 25 years for PCOS, and now on continuous Slynd BC (no period) for migraines. Just turned 50 so how will I know when I’m in menopause?? 🤷🏻♀️

Laura :
This might be a dumb question, but if you’re leaving that ring in or just taking a continuous BC (I use a new nuvaring every 3 weeks) and aren’t getting a regular bleed how do you know you’re getting into menopause/post menopause? I know I will get breakthrough bleeding sometimes but like…beyond that how do you know?
