@tyler_therealtor: Echo Park was named after an actual echo across the lake, and was one of LA’s first commuter suburbs, but as LA expanded further west, the area became an affordable haven for discriminated Latinos and artists, who spent decades building communities and a neighborhood culture so appealing, the city spent millions to re-beautify, making Echo Park one of the most desirable neighborhoods in LA. But now the very communities that built its character are being priced out. So is Echo Park being revived, or is it another casualty of gentrification? Let me know in the comments.👇 Looking for a home in Echo Park, or anywhere else in LA? Gimme a call👉(323)578-4949 . . . . #echopark #lahistory #larealestate #letsdivein #tylertherealtor

Another great video Tyler! In the very early 70’s I would be put on a Greyhound to visit with my grandmother who lived nearby. We would go there and feed the ducks from a bag of bread. It was very nice then!

Gentrification kicked out its original tenants from the American Indians to the Hispanic community.

Gentrified for sure, “revived” is just a neocolonial termed used to justify gentrification.
