I've heard multiple family members say they raise their kids in the church because they want to make sure their kids grown up to have morals ... You don't need religion to have morals.

I wasn’t raised super religious but I did attend a private catholic grade school pre-K through 5th grade. I was always too much of a critical thinker to believe all of that. Didn’t seem right to me. My husband grew up in Alabama, part of the Bible Belt. My husband is a large believer in god, so is his entire side of the family. We have been together 10 years and have two kids, 5 & 7. My 7 year old has recently become interested in religion. Between my husband and I, our kids receive information from both sides of the coin and we’re both open minded. At the end of the day, they’re free to research and figure out what they want to believe in or not believe in and it’s not our business other than making sure they’re being raised as good people.

I think once they get older give them that choice like maybe take them to church once in a while if they don't enjoy it then they stop but if they do let them be open to choose

I’m not saying anything about your husband, but it’s weird that more and more men are flocking to church/religion. Even men who were self proclaimed atheists/agnostics. It just makes me side eye like what values are they trying to hold on to or gain from that. And I am totally looking at it from a nihilistic lens because in this political climate I am much more skeptical.
