Save this one. Quartz worktops resist scratches and stains without breaking the bank Deep drawers always beat cupboards for space and ease of access Plan proper storage for gadgets so your worktops stay permanently clear Sort task lighting first then layer softer ambient lighting for the evenings Keep wall units 50 to 60cm above the worktop for comfortable working height Go undermount stainless steel sink with one large bowl or bowl and a half and drainer grooves cut into the stone Leave one metre between your island and the nearest wall run Keep the sink off the island and put the hob there instead Induction wins every time over gas for safety, precision, and cleaning Never put your cutlery drawer under the hob Fit a proper larder if the space allows Add a boiling tap and ditch the kettle permanently Clear out the clutter you already own before designing around it The best kitchen advice is always the most practical. Which one of these did you not know before reading this?
Only had quartz once in a kitchen. I put a hot pot on a piece of timber on the quartz and it cracked. Have had black granite every since and have never regretted it.
