@ciara__anne: Everyone talks about £100k, and it is a big deal, but it’s not as important as Coast FI. Coast FI is basically the point where you’ve saved enough that if you never added another penny, compound growth alone would carry you to a full retirement pot by a normal retirement age. It doesn’t mean you stop working, it just means you stop having to save for retirement because your money is already doing the heavy lifting in the background. From that point on you’re just covering your life now, not funneling everything into your future too.
