My theory is that phanes (coming from the wide sea of the universe) knew what was consuming the other planets, so he hid teyvat under the false sky, so that whatever is destroying the planets, won’t destroy teyvat. I‘d say the HP is some kind of „anti-hero“. And Nibelung perhaps joined with the abyss because he saw the abyss as the only way to save teyvat from being consumed by whatever is out there. Both must’ve seen something or someone and both chose to act differently. Either way, I’m still on Nibelungs side he didn’t have to die 🥹

ok small correction, we don’t know for sure if nibe returned around the same time as koitar and seutervoinen’s rebellion, heavensent gift only states that the sovereigns witnessed koitar’s speech

Thanks for this, but I noticed that there is a missing gap in history, Nicole’s version said the moon sisters (if I recall correctly) were not a threat to Phanes’ “divine laws” and waged war towards the 7 Sovereigns for 40 years (from the book before Sun and Moon), yet the Moon Sisters initially viewed Phanes as a guest and like you said they thought they were allies against the darkness (Abyss) but they made no comment for the 40 battle, Apep did say it happened and eventually Nibelung returned for the war of vengeance. Sorry for my rambling it’s just that I assumed that Phanes fought the 7 Sovereigns first, created a new order with the Moon Sisters alright with it, then Nibelung returns. I just feel confused on what happened if the Sovereigns fought Phanes first or after they started throwing the Nails towards “rebellious” people
