@mrikauto: If you're rebuilding a Honda 1.5L turbo engine, don't overlook the head gasket. Not all gaskets are built the same. In this video, we compare the OEM gasket with the premium gasket we use and explain why choosing the right one can make the difference between a reliable engine and costly repairs later. 📍 MRIK Automotive Werks Ltd 241 Horton St E, London, ON 📞 647-708-1300#Honda #Honda15T #HondaEngine #HeadGasket #OEM
I feel sorry for people who buy a car newer than 2018 from any brand

Honda shouldve recalled the 1.5t or issued and extended warranty for everyone that bought one. The fact that they are blowing headgaskets worse than Subaru is embarrassing for a company that was known for reliability.

Problem is the block slit, will deteriorate the material on either gasket.

I heard of people welding the cooling jackets in between the cylinders at engine machine shop’s . Ford had the same problem with the 4 cylinder turbo eco-boost for the early 2000’s in the focus. The hot coolant washes out the rtv and starts to leak coolant into the cylinders. Honda engineers know’s this it not the first time this was tried on, knowing the results just amazed me. This new gasket will just buy you time. The problem is not the bolts. Honda always had some head gasket issues with some of there engine models the on the early B-16 and D-17 models engines. The engines are made off recycled aluminum after many heat cycles the head will warp some maybe if they used three ply steel gasket with a sealed jacket In between the cylinders . And always use Honda coolant . Mixing different coolant will react and just speed up the process.

The headgasket isnt the problem its the head bolts . If you do the angel sequence it isnt enough , because if you convert it angel to ft lbs its only 62-65ft lbs ! Just use arp studs and torque it to 80ft lbs and forget the angel sequence
