I have blood cancer, and the chemotherapies I have to take make it so I cannot eat anything raw, including sushi, though after August of 2027 whenever my doctor says I'm cleared to eat raw foods I will be going out with my closest friends to eat sushi for the first time 😁

I mean like you can’t eat raw fish, but you could still eat sushi. There’s a lot of sushi without raw fish like we got invitation, crab there’s chicken. I tried sushi with chicken. I don’t know why they put chicken. There’s vegan sushi. I mean like there’s cooked fish in the sushi like you could get a bunch or you could get like bop.

I am so very sorry about your condition and I don't want to minimize it down to not being able to eat sushi...but this would seriously affect me. Salmon sushi and sashimi is my absolute favorite food and sometimes the only treat that gets me through a week.

its not the same, but theres a lot of vegan/vegetarian sushi options for when you're craving sushi and cant have raw fish!

I had a double lung transplant and eat sushi. I’m 10 years post and only go to reputable places! Definitely didn’t eat raw fish for the first few years though (not medical advice 😂 & listen to your doctor)
