@brookexdakota: If any professionals out there wanna give me advice… I’m all ears #pelvictilt #anteriorpelvictilt #buildingmuscle #pelvicfloor #pelvicfloorexercises
Didnt believe it but dead bugs genuinely changed mine in a matter of 2 weeks. The gap is completely gone and I lay flat on the mat with no pain now.

okay not a medical professional but I did get my APT treated by a PT. you have to correct it slowly before you can start strengthening exercises. I started with a breathing exercise for weeks and it was insane how much improvement that made. lay on your back with your knees bent for your feet are flat (keep knees hip width apart and place a pillow there at first) take a big breath in until you feel your stomach/ ribs expand. then, turn your head to the left, open your mouth and push your lower jaw out and to the left. keep in this position as you exhale. reset your head and jaw to inhale, and repeat. work up to five minutes twice a day. it sounds crazy but trust me!

I know I know, everyone says it. BUT DEAD BUGS SAVED MY LIFE. 🫡 (coming from a Girl with anterlolithesis) BUT….You HAVEEEE to make sure you’re pressing your back to the ground. 🤌🏽Otherwise, you’re wasting your time. The most important part is pressing your back to the ground and go slowwwe and controlled. The second your back lifts up- stop. And try again a day or two later. You’ll build strength fast. Sometimes it helps holding the 2-3lbs Pilates weights in your hands. You’ll find what feels best. BUT PRESS THAT BACK TO THE FLOOR💃💃💃

those who are concerned about losing their ass after fixing their tilt, GOOD NEWS - it’s actually much easier to build muscle after the correction, core is engaged to the max, much better hip movement and increased muscle to mind connection 🤩 also it’s just way better for hip health long term

Stretch front, strengthen back. Focus deep core. That’s what my PT has me doing. And remind yourself to tuck your pelvis and use your glutes anytime you’re walking or doing ANYTHING. All day. If you’re feeling those exercises in your back you’re not activating the proper muscles. GLUTES and CORE

Is this why my lower back doesn't ever seem to be completely flat when I'm lying flat, and when it it is, it hurts?

Physical therapist here! Even if you don’t go for follow up visits, I would recommend at least being evaluated by a PT. They can help you determine what the root cause of the dysfunction can be, and give you a more definitive diagnosis. Most states are direct access; meaning you don’t need a physician referral- just call the clinic directly!

✨started getting better for me when I started consciously walking and focusing on using glutes to lift legs when walking while also stacking ribs and hips. It makes you naturally want to tilt your pelvis the correct way. Go on long walks and focus on those things and you'll feel your abs and pelvis get stronger and start thinking about it less. ✨✨✨

Before you preform any of your workouts pretend you’re zipping up your stomach from the bottom up!!! Do that before any set and you’ll see a difference!!!!! It all has to do with how you breathe in.

Dead bugs and toe taps in reverse table top are a huge game changer. However, you need to tilt your pelvis up and ensure your lower back stays glued to the mat. Engage your core. Move SLOW and with control. You’ll feel it in your lower abdomen. Stretch your hip flexors daily. Stay consistent. You’ll start to notice a change in about 6-8 weeks, other will notice a difference in about 12 weeks. 🫶🏼
