@nicholas_crown: Circular financing is nothing new. It shows up near the top of every capex cycle, and it always looks like growth until the money stops moving. Nvidia invested $30 billion in OpenAI. OpenAI expects to buy up to $600 billion in Nvidia chips. Nvidia books the sale and helped fund the buyer. Round trip revenue inflates the top line without adding a new buyer. I work at the only store in my town. They pay me, but a good portion of my paycheck goes to groceries. They use that to pay rent. Their landlord happens to be my wife, who then buys all the materials she needs for upkeep for her properties at the same store, her biggest tenant

Yup! It's the ultimate financial circle jerk. And it's going to crash and possibly bring everything down with it. The overall business model is not profitable.

To add to this…look how many of these companies have already sold bonds to cover debt in this “bubble” 📈 👀

This is a chicken game, the first to pull back investment and leave the table will pull the rug off everyone. Don’t forget there is money leaving the table via overheads (salary, expenses, etc) they need funds consistently. If SoftBank decides to just hold and stop feeding and stays at its current investment the bubble will pop unless there’s someone replacing its position as an active investor.

And what is the problem with that? It all makes sense. What should they do instead? These are the most powerful companies in the world.

thats only the businesses side, Totally normal that there are b2b deals, INTERESTING is the consumer side, meaning what consumer pays in, THEY are the customers, as long as the have a way to get money from consumers, nothing problematic

For everyone calling this a bubble it’s not - here’s 2 basic examples of economics on how the economy works - 1 you work at McDonalds and get paid by them and then you go buy burgers from them every day money goes around and around - EXAMPLE 2 - you and your friend are walking down the street you walk past a pile of 💩 your friend offers you £100 to eat it so you do and make £100 you then continue walking and there another pile of 💩 and now you offer your friend £100 to eat it and he does - you both end up eating the 💩 and end up breaking even while the economy grew by £200 and each of your revenue went up by £100 - now where the profits are made is through the companies that sell to outside this bubble bringing extra cash into the bubble so from Google meta nvidia microsoft open ai and anthropic
