@madelineaford: this is what happens when you’re a hoarder and everything has sentimental value .... learn from my mistakes (I hope this reaches witchtok)
your exes are apart of your past! they are lessons and a part of your growth and development. never a bad thing to honor the steps in your journey :) im not a witch though so i could be wrong LMFAO

I love that the dried roses are there it feels so symbolic a space to hold memories close that aren’t what they were when they were fresh but now differently beautiful 💕

i think it’s fine to keep even if you arent necessarily on good terms with them/it didn’t work out bc they were gifts to you. i’d remove them if it was from someone who was actually mean to you or treated you badly though

if i were u, i’d throw everything out. I just think it’s better to not keep stuff from people you aren’t in good terms anymore, especially in a new apartment

totally agree w people about it being almost like offerings to you but the things from people you arent on good terms probably can go. and you ask about getting rid of spell jars and honestly the best part of witchcraft is the power of your own intention. i think its fine to throw them out (and i usually try to do it in an eco friendly way when possible) but i like to say something about releasing the energy. and if you are worried about it you could totally make your own spell jars with intentions of love and protection!!

it's an altar to the power of your love, and the way it has affected the people around you. it's a shrine to your power, not theirs

You could store the things in a nice box and take them with you if you’re emotionally too attached to them. You can decide later. Maybe it’s not the right time to let go.

you could cleanse everything with incense or a simmer pot but i think it depends on what the item means to you. i still have flowers from some one i’m not on good terms with cause there pretty and make me happy. i got rid of other flowers someone gave me even tho i liked them cause i felt like i was holding on to the person. i thinks its situational.
