Lets be real, Korra is objectively the worst Avatar in history, and she only gets a pass because her fans use identity politics as a shield against legitimate criticism. In just a few short years, she managed to wipe out 10,000 years of past Avatar wisdom, threw Republic City into chaos by recklessly opening the spirit portals, and left a trail of power vacuums that led straight to civil war and a fascist dictatorship. She was arrogant, hot headed, and easily manipulated, yet the moment you point out her catastrophic record, her defenders immediately cry misogyny to shut down the debate. While male Avatars like Roku get dragged daily for their mistakes, Korra's massive screw ups get endlessly excused just because she fits a strong female character archetype, creating a massive double standard that protects the most destructive Avatar to ever live.
