I think we over estimate Rodri, Rodri had Gundegon and now Ruiz, he’s heavily dependent on who he plays with. Watch last season he struggled without a partner.

Context is important. This might not work out in cases where your CB’s aren’t good at playing from the back tho or if they aren’t comfortable on the ball they’ll still go long. This is why in some cases the CDM drops deep during build up.
