that makes total sense if there is a clear message that she isn't into you, but with ghosting. I feel it's mature to leave it at "I enjoyed our date, the door is open for another, but I understand if you don't want to" and to leave it at that. feels more appropriate way to handle ghosting

lol, this is terrible advice. my chances are zero. nothing I do matters and you want me to do what? save face? I have nothing else to lose, I might as well (1) maybe get valuable information and most importantly (2) know for a FACT that there's absolutely nothing else I can do. this is objectively bad advice

I used to think fighting for a relationship, friendship or otherwise, was worth it to try and save it. This last time though, I didn't try. She was done. I saw it, days before, after a disagreement. She walked out and I let her. No begging her to stay. No what abouts. No "let's work it out." I watched her walk out. Then I shut the door and I never looked back. Could I have done more? Maybe. Was I sad? Yes. I miss her. But it was her decision to leave. Who am I to try and stop her?
