I trained a girl that had to write the instructions on how to use the phone. 1. phone ringing 2. pick up phone 3. say, "thanks for calling ___. this is katlyn, how may I help you?" 4. make sure to put phone back on pad when done. **press hold to put on hold** **press speaker for speakerphone**

I’ve been training people a loooooong time. Phone skills are probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to teach. Don’t get me started on reception temps. When your boss asks “how hard could it be?” The answer is always “harder than you’d think”
