I understand what you’re saying, but from my understanding, it’s less of an “I’m living right, you’re living wrong!” and is more like trying to get a Christian to understand different views by using a source Christians follow and respect. It’s easier for a Christian to dismiss an idea that isn’t present in the Bible, than something that IS inside of the Bible, so non-Christians often use it as a source.

Sorry to say this but religion is a system of BELIEFS, just because they “fit” into your religion doesn’t mean they genuinely believe in it, they could be perfectly moral but believe there is no god so they aren’t Christian
