The fact that one of the only poems that people remember from ddlc is ‘eagles can fly’ should be a testament to the impact her writing had. It’s simple, straightforward, and memorable. I always loved her poems, when the game came out I had a very similar view to her and related to how her brevity in her poems is watered down to shallowness

i remember the given explanation being a little different, but I always liked how Amy Likes Spiders could easily be interpreted as being about homophobia, internalised and otherwise.
