My son is starting his 3rd year in plumbing in September there’s no apprenticeships available so sad for the young ones today

has some who tried to get an apprenchship for eletrics I applied to over 290 firms to be told " its not worth to take on an apprentice" so no i work as a porter in the NHS

I did a Cscs apprenticeship in 1999 with the citb was one of the last ones though now years on we getting paid up off 50k a year I feel sorry for the ones who were pushed by family for uni left in debt and low pay

no offense to uni students but they have no work experience like working hands on in the job thats why most work places are going downhill. Labour and tories are to blame for that focusing to much on university and the rich.

Plumbers doing quite a lot of money but how many plumbers do we actually need. I think we probably need doctors dentists and nurses more than we need more plumbers.
