Chesney went 8-4 his first season in 2024. This roster is more talented then that years roster. Billy knows how to win in the SBC as he won the west 4 straight years. The schedules from this year and 24 are comparable but we don’t play a P4 team this year. If other leagues like the American and Pac12 beat each other up and JMU goes undefeated it’s very possible. Especially if the SBC improves from its down year last year and wins some big OOC games like Marshall beating PSU or Coastal beating WVU.

look the way I see it is we have to wait and see , let's be honest, no one thought JMU would be part of cfp and definitely no one saw them playing against Oregon , Oregon in the other hand was very confident and at the end it was Indina who took the crown

East Carolina will go 13-0 and be the G6 bye. JMU will also go 13-0. JMU doesn’t play a single G4 team this year. I know ECU is playing Alabama, but my gut feeling has the pirates pulling off the upset and Bama goes on a downslope. Brutal SEC slate on top of that
