im a subaru tech, I use a plug socket thay has a swivel then a 1in wobble extension, perfect length

I literally only use a magnetic spark plug socket and a 1inch extension.

I use extensions. But on the very end I have a 1” extension that I ground the ball flat to it slips in and out with zero effort.

Brother, the same thing happened to my forester. Insane that i found your content. Dealership did not tighten the 4 sp and gave me a 3k bill to replace all four injectors. Independent subaru tech tightened the sp and charged 300 for it. Car is back no normal. I was very angry lol

ok I kinda wish id known this trick when I worked at subie. our plugs were 14mm and I used the 2" wobble extension to do plugs

Or you can literally just use a small wobble extension and you don’t need to take it off for the entire job aside from 6 cylinders

I do basically the same but I took a 3” extension punched the ball in that creates the lock to the socket works like a dream
